Damaged Goods (covers) is inspired by the seminal 1986 Damaged Goods exhibition on appropriation which took place at the New Museum in New York. In researching curator Brian Wallis' exhibition catalog online, I discovered a preponderance of romance novels sharing the same title as his book and exhibition. Invariably the novels' cover designs featured a woman as the eponymous damaged good. My collection of these books currently numbers more than 20, and the Damaged Goods (covers) print series reproduces these title characters life-sized.

Selected prints from series Damaged Goods (covers), 2016-2017 below. Additional installation images of works, including Damaged Goods (Sharfeddin), Damaged Goods (Urban), and Damaged Goods (Hampson).
